The Caucus’ priorities are centered on tackling the affordability crisis, protecting safety net programs, and fighting against ICE’s mass deportation campaign.

Assemblymember Alex Lee introduced legislation to unlock new housing by reforming the building code for multifamily apartments. AB 2252 paves the way for constructing mid-rise, single-stair housing, which opens up opportunities to build homes in urban areas where larger, dual exit apartments aren’t feasible. 

Bill Introduced To Ensure Transparency With State Telework Policies

Assemblymember Alex Lee introduced legislation to support state workers and recognize the proven benefits of telework for both California employees and taxpayers. AB 1729 prioritizes transparency for public employees by requiring clear telework policies across state agencies.

CalFresh Program Relaunches To Make Healthy Food More Affordable

A CalFresh program relaunched in November to make fresh fruits and vegetables more affordable. Through a historic investment of $36 million secured by Assemblymember Alex Lee, the CalFresh Fruit and Vegetable EBT Program will once again be able to serve tens of thousands of Californians statewide.
