Dear Friend,
Get ready for our third annual Youth Art Contest! I'm excited to invite K-12 students from our schools to participate in my upcoming contest themed "Healthy Meals Feed Happy Families."
Communities thrive when people have fresh and nutritious food. It's integral to our lives and well-being. A healthy food system fuels entire neighborhoods and supports our local economies. It shapes our social connections, bridges cultures, and fosters more resilient communities. But far too many people lack healthy food options, even though our state is the breadbasket of the nation. It's why I'll continue to fight tirelessly to ensure food security for everyone as Chair of the Assembly Human Services Committee.
How do you see nutritious food as a foundation for health and happiness in your community? This is YOUR chance to showcase your talents. The art contest is open to all K-12 students residing in our district, which includes Fremont, Milpitas, Newark, Northern San Jose, and Sunol.
